Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer

June Traina Holmes is chief operating officer and treasurer for the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA). She is responsible for the day to day operational management of the organization including the planning and execution of strategic and operational plans and initiatives. She held the same title with the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) prior to its merger with the American Insurance Association (AIA) on January 1, 2019. Holmes was appointed to this position by the PCI Board of Governors in February 2006. She served as the association's interim chief executive officer from September 2005 to September 2006 while the PCI Board of Governors conducted a national search for a new president and CEO of the organization.

Holmes was named executive vice president, chief administrative officer and treasurer of PCI in March 2005, shortly after the association was formed as a result of a merger between the National Association of Independent Insurers (NAII) and the Alliance of American Insurers. In addition to her responsibilities for managing the organization's financial and administrative operations, she was given additional management responsibility for Independent Statistical Service, Inc., PCI's for-profit subsidiary as well as corporate planning responsibility. She also served as senior vice president, chief administrative officer and treasurer of PCI.

Holmes joined NAII, one of APCIA's predecessor organizations, in 1982. She held a variety of management and executive positions within the organization's human resources and finance departments, culminating in her appointment as senior vice president and treasurer of NAII in 1996.

Holmes began her career in 1980 in the human resources department of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
