Wildfire Threat Continues to Impact California
Wildfires continue to actively burn in several areas in California threatening homes. So far more than 1,500 people have been told to evacuate near the community of Oakhurst, which is located just outside Yosemite National Park. According to Cal Fire the Junction Fire destroyed a total of eight structures and more than 500 are being threatened. For the latest information on evacuations go to:
Another fire in Kern County is threatening buildings and forcing more evacuations. These fire are predicted to continue according to the
National Interagency Fire Center
(NIFC). NIFC predicts above normal fire potential to continue over most of California, Nevada, Washington and Idaho. With the threat of severe weather and dry condition, fires attributed to lightning continue be a real threat.
