PCI is constantly working to develop innovative programs to organize our members and strengthen the influence of property casualty insurers nationwide. PCI political programs focus on participating in the political process through campaigns and elections, and by contacting legislators on important public policy measures. Companies learn many ways to maximize the pro-business vote and gain access to advocacy resources that makes the process of educating, organizing and motivating voters seamless.

Involvement in PCI's political programs can take many forms and ranges from encouraging employees, family and friends to register to vote, issue advocacy, contacting your lawmakers, testifying before a legislative or congressional committee, taking your story public and dealing with the media. PCI is composed of more than 1,000 member companies, representing the broadest cross-section of insurers of any national trade association. PCI members write over $180 billion in annual premium, 38.3 percent of the nation's property casualty insurance. Member companies write 44.3 percent of the U.S. automobile insurance market, 31.6 percent of the homeowners market, 36.3 percent of the commercial property and liability market, and 42.6 percent of the private workers compensation market.
